When you visit the site

We don't ask you to register and we don't use cookies. We measure visits and clicks on clinics' contact buttons with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores no data that could identify you. See the cookie policy.

Maps and “Get directions”

Clinic pages may show an OpenStreetMap map. It does not load when you open the page, only if you click “Show map”. At that point your browser connects to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers, which receive your IP address and apply their own privacy policy. The “Get directions” and “See reviews on Google” buttons open Google Maps in a new window; from then on, Google's policy applies.

When you contact us through “Is this your clinic?”

  • Data: your name, role at the clinic, email and the content of your message.
  • Purpose: to handle your request for changes or removal and reply to you.
  • Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Retention: as long as needed to resolve the request and, afterwards, for the legal limitation periods.
  • Recipients: the form is handled by our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) as data processor. Netlify participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

When you request a clinic listing

  • Data: the clinic's details (name, address, phone numbers, email, website, health registry number, opening hours, languages and treatments) and the contact person's details (name, role, email and, if provided, phone). If you send them, also the clinic's logo and photos, which may show its staff: the clinic guarantees it has their consent. We review the images and only publish those that meet the form's rules.
  • Purpose: to verify that the clinic exists and that the request comes from it, and to publish its listing. The contact person's details are never published.
  • Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Retention: if the listing is rejected, we delete the request once it is resolved. If it is published, we keep the contact details while the listing is online, so we can confirm future changes with the clinic.
  • Recipients: the form is handled by our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) as data processor.

Clinic data published on the site

Listings may include professionals' names when they are part of the clinic's name. This data comes from public sources (linked on each listing) and is published on the basis of legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) in informing patients about dental clinics. You can object or ask for corrections through “Is this your clinic?”.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to dentistasmalaga@gmail.com. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
